How to convert PDF to JPG files

Learning how to convert PDF to JPG does not have to be a difficult task. And, while there are a number of applications and websites that can do it for you, it’s difficult to know which ones to rely on.

And you probably don’t want to waste time trying to find one by trial and error, or worrying about how accurate, dependable, or virus-free it is. That’s something we can do for you, just like we’ve done with the best free PDF editors – if you need to make changes to the PDF before converting it.

In fact, there are several simple ways to convert PDF to JPG without installing any unknown apps from “unidentified” developers, as Apple refers to them. If you have an Apple computer, macOS includes a PDF and image viewer that can handle this task.

Windows users must take a few extra steps, but there are a couple of apps available from the Microsoft Store that will protect you from any inappropriate app activities, one of which we’ll discuss here.

How to convert PDF to JPG on Windows 10

There are several ways to convert PDF to JPG on Windows 10, as there are many websites and applications that allow you to do so for free. However, in order to reduce the risk of malware, we should only use apps from reputable developers.

Method 1: Use Adobe Acrobat PDF

Converting PDF to JPG with Adobe’s Acrobat DC is preferable because it not only allows you to convert entire documents rather than a page at a time, but it also has a clean and user-friendly interface.

Step 1: Launch Acrobat DC and open your PDF file. A toolbar appears on the right; select Export PDF.

This will launch the Export PDF dialog box.

Step 2: Go to Image > JPEG.

If necessary, change the file, color, and conversion settings by clicking on the Settings icon next to JPEG, then pressing OK.

Step 3: Uncheck “Export all images” and then click Export.

A Save As dialog box should appear.

Step 4: Navigate to your desired folder, enter a filename, and click Save.

Method 2: PDF to JPEG Conversion

Before you download the PDF to JPEG app, which is available for free on the Microsoft Store, keep in mind that its user interface isn’t particularly appealing. The beauty of this app, however, is that it is very simple, so you should be able to figure it out without any instruction.

Step 1: Launch the PDF to JPEG converter and click the Select File button.

Step 2: A dialog box should appear. Choose the PDF file you want to convert from the drop-down menu.

Step 3: After you’ve opened the file, click Convert near the top of the window above the document.

When the app is finished, it should display the message “Conversion Completed.” It will also place the converted JPG file in the same folder as the original PDF file.
